Knightley to Rule ARTHUR Campaign

In a move that bothers me none, Disney is making a play at drawing in the ladies with a move that will no doubt draw in a TON of men as Keira Knightley’s role as Guinevere in the upcoming King Arthur pic as the star of its marketing campaign.

Knightley’s now front and center in the posters and dominates much of the new spots that now appear on television. Film’s love story, lush landscapes and origins of the legend of King Arthur and the Round Table are also emphasized in the trailers in theaters.

Knightley will also grace the covers of Vanity Fair, Entertainment Weekly and Premiere magazine.

Variety goes on to mention that in the original script, the character doesn’t make her entrance until page 55. Onscreen, she appears 40 min-utes into the film after seven other major characters have been introduced.
