According to The Hollywood Reporter John Singleton is in negotiations to direct Luke Cage for Columbis Pictures.
The film will be based on the 70s comic book “Luke Cage, Hero for Hire,” which is about a former gang member who is framed for a crime he didn’t commit. In prison, he volunteers for a medical experiment that goes awry, giving him superstrength and bulletproof skin. Using his newfound powers, Luke Cage escapes and becomes a hero for hire.
