More casting news comes in from New Zealand as five major roles in the highly anticipated adaptation of the C.S. Lewis novel The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe are cast according to the Narnia fansite NarniaWeb.com and The New Zealand Herald.
First off NarniaWeb reports news they received from The NZ Dominion Post, which said that Jim Broadbent will indeed play the role of the professor in the Narnia film, but the big news is the casting of the four children who will be your stars of the film.
The New Zealand Herald reports that Georgie Henley, 9, from London, who plays the lead character Lucy; Skandar Keynes, 12, also from London, who plays Edmund; Anna Popplewell, 15, from West Yorkshire, who plays Susan; and William Moseley, 17, from Gloucestershire, who plays the eldest brother Peter.
Apparently the pictures that were snapped of the four kids were taken as they played a game of cricket on the grounds of Monte Cecilia House in Hillsborough, which will serve as the grounds of the country mansion where Lucy finds the wardrobe portal to the Kingdom of Narnia, although the mansion seen in the movie will be computer generated.
