When I first read this I could not believe it just as much as I am sure most of you are going to feel, but it looks like Sharon Stone is ready to move forward with a sequel to the steamy hit Basic Instinct according to an article posted by the Herald Sun.
The article takes no time in stating the message as it’s first paragraph reads Sharon Stone will star in a sequel to Basic Instinct after ending a bitter fight with the film’s producers.
The idea that may intrigue you more is that the 46-year-old may appear nude again in the follow-up. “I’m like, ‘Does anybody want to pay $12 to see me naked?”‘ the 46-year-old said. “I’m like, ‘I guess it’s OK.”‘
Loose ends are tied up as the article goes on to say that Michael Douglas will not be making a return appearance, and who can blame him? Stone told the Herald, “Somebody should be younger.”
Stone was suing producers for $19 million over the collapse of the project, but said yesterday a settlement had been reached. I also cannot leave without saying that I am not sure if there is even a market for this film now that it is 12 years since the original and will most likely be at least 14 by the time production would wrap, that is if they even have a script ready, or in the works for that matter.
