Sooner or later we may just have the entire Alien vs. Predator script online, and if it is out there let me know, but until then Gareth, from SKNR.net has just sent in another update on AVP that he compiled primarily from this out-of-the-way site called Alien vs. Predator Chronology and PlanetAVP.com, and the following is what we learn, but beware this is SPOILER filled and should be considered as such:
The following is an updated outline of the new AVP movie from Fox. It is factual as best as I can establish and should be considered very heavy spoilers as it does cover the key events of the film.
2004 – By using thermal imaging satellites, Charles Bishop Weyland, a billionaire industrialist, has discovered an ancient temple underneath the Antarctic ice. Working on the theory that this could be the origin of mankind’s original culture, he assembles an expedition to investigate the site. Charles Weyland’s the father of modern robotics but he is dying, and like a lot of rich men who are facing the end they realise that money and power are not enough.
A Predator ship enters Earth orbit, dispatching five young warriors to the Antarctic temple site to undergo a hunt. Charles Weyland assembles his team, which includes Alexia Homer, Sebastian Wells and Max Stafford. They arrive at the site, where they experience friction with the drilling team, which is headed by Quinn. They find that there is a pyramid underneath the ice.
Investigating the pyramid, the team finds the Chamber of the Gods, the gargantuan entrance to the pyramid lined with Sphinx-style Predator statues. It is here that they first encounter a Predator warrior. Verheiden, an Egyptologist also discovers skeletons with broken ribcages The captive Queen Alien is awakened and starts to lay her eggs. The Predators detect this activity and start to get anxious about the release of the Aliens so early in the hunt.
Charles Weyland is killed by a Predator, and the rest of the team are wiped out, except for Lex. Of the Predator, only the warrior Lex calls Scar remains. The pair are forced to work together before they become overwhelmed by the Aliens. While Scar sets his self-destruct device, the Alien warriors free their queen and the horde pursues Lex and Scar to the surface. The pyramid is destroyed in the explosion, with only the Queen left. She impales Scar with her tail, infecting him with an embryo. Lex manages to entangle the Queen’s chains in a gigantic cauldron, which rolls down onto the ice and into the sea, dragging the Queen to a watery doom with it.
The Predator motherhship lands to pick up the fallen warrior. The Predators see the symbol that Scar had burned on to Lex’s forehead and the leader presents her with his spear. They leave Lex to return to the Piper Maru anchored out in the bay.
In space, the Predator leave Scar’s body in a place of honor, then return to their hibernation capsules. However, something stirs in Scar’s chest
This ending may only be one possible ending but it does set the stage for the planned AVP 2 two film which is already on the fast track. Aside from Lex surviving it does keep the continuity with the Aline franchise of only the company knowing of the Aliens. It may also be noted that the Queen may not Drown as we know that the Aliens can survive in space as the first two films showed a warrior and a Queen flushed form an airlock very much alive and kicking.
