New Trailers and Posters Abound!!

Here at RopeofSilicon.com we just got our hands on four new posters and five new trailers that we think you will certainly want to check out. We have everything from romantic comedy to science-fiction / horror flicks so don’t waste any more time.

Starting off with the best of them all may be the star-studded upcoming film Crash, which features such recognizable names as Sandra Bullock, Don Cheadle, Matt Dillon, Jennifer Esposito, Brendan Fraser, Jason Isaacs, Ludacris, Thandie Newton, Ryan Phillippe and Nona Gaye. The multimedia that was just added is an extremely long montage of footage from the film set to music and it looks like this just may be this year’s attempt at a gut-wrenching drama on its way to the Oscar race 2005. If you were a fan of last year’s House of Sand and Fog, 21 Grams or Mystic River then this is one you will want to check out.

Crash follows two cars crashes in LA where a body is found on the side of the road and the question looms as to who is connected to the murder. The film then flashes 24 hours back in time to follow the lives of eight individuals whose lives ultimately weave together into a shroud of tension. Next up is Jackie Chan’s next flick in a long line of action films, offering up a remake of one of his own films, or is it a sequel? Anyway the original Police Story was released in 1985 and is also referred to as Ging chaat goo si, and here we have the next in line called, get this, New Police Story. This one follows Wing (Jackie Chan), Hong Kong police force’s finest and Fung (Nicholas Tse) a disaffected youth, who wants to follow in Wing’s footsteps but his checkered background makes his dream of becoming a detective impossible. Is creepy your thing well we have two thrillers that just may interest you in Perfect Creature and Wolf Creek, and while not a lot is known about these flicks we do have an early poster look at Perfect Creature and some trailer footage for Wolf Creek along with early cast and crew information for each. To check out Perfect Creature click here and for Wolf Creek check it out here.

Okay, I almost forgot the other little new flick called The Last Sign, which promises some amount of creepy factor as this Canadian flick stars Andie McDowell, Tim Roth and Samuel Le Bihan in a film which follows a woman tormented by the ghost of her abusive husband and must face the very thing she’s trying to forget if she’s to find peace and put the ghost to rest. We have an early look at the poster art and trailer footage here, but we aren’t sure if this one will see the light of day in US theaters before it hits DVD seeing how it may end up only being released for our friends up North.

Next up we have the political thriller Five Moons Square, starring Donald Sutherland, Giancarlo Giannini, Stefania Rocca, Greg Wise and Academy Award winner F. Murray Abraham in a film which stems from the arrival of a mysterious parcel, which plunges a guileless magistrate into a perilous web of political intrigue. As skeletons are goaded from closets and ghosts disinterred, a veil of deceit is uncovered exposing a deadly fraud in which the most unlikely become a threat. To get some early trailer footage check it out here.
