The British Museum Explores the Myth of TROY

The British Museum has launched a cool new feature on their website to coincide with the release of Warner Bros. new epic film Troy, which hits theaters May 14th.

The film focuses on ancient Greece and the battle that was ignited surrounding the lust for Helen, Queen of Sparta. The film packs a powerful list of actors including the likes of Brad Pitt, Orlando Bloom, Eric Bana and Brian Cox and I am not afraid to say that is extremely high on my list of must-see movies for the summer time.

Anyway, back on topic, The British Museum has up an exciting look at the mythology behind the battle for Helen in a section titled “The Myth of Troy”, and in similar fashion to the design of the official Troy website the entire section is in Flash format and allows you to read further about the myth of Troy or view the Museum’s collection of artifacts and information based on the times.

The whole thing is quite intriguing and a good build-up to the flick.

You can click here to check out the site, you will find the link to the Troy section in the lower left-hand side of the page.

Enjoy!
