CinemaEye.com has dropped some speculation on Ron Howard’s upcoming film adaptation of Dan Brown’s best-selling novel The DaVinci Code.
According to the website Howard is in talks with Russell Crowe who worked with Howard on the Oscar-winning film A Beautiful Mind and is currently working with the actor on Cinderella Man which begins shooting March 2004.
Howard is also in talks with Underworld‘s Kate Backinsale to play the lead fem, Sofia. Beckinsale is a hot topic after she took on the Lycans in Underworld and will again battle the vampires, werewolves, and Frankenstein in the upcoming Hugh Jackman led pic Van Helsing.
