Mark A. Altman’s Maltman Entertainment is developing a remake of 1983’s My Tutor in partnership with Crown International Pictures. Variety says shooting is expected to start in October.
The original film centered on a high school senior who flunks his French final, prompting his parents to hire a (sexy) French tutor to help him pass a make-up exam.
The screenplay for the remake will be adapted by Steven Kriozere, who recently adapted Howling Mad for Sony.
Kriozere will also co-produce through his Drink Octopus Productions.
