Independent companies Smithfield Street Productions and Proud Mary Entertainment are launching a six-picture alliance with the ensemble comedy Hollywood and Wine, starring David Spade, Chazz Palmenteri, Vivica Fox and Pamela Anderson.
Variety says the comedy begins shooting today at Smithfield Studios in Pittsburgh. Free Fall Films and Trivision Pictures are co-production partners on the pic.
Chris Farley’s brother Kevin Farley and Matt Berman will co-direct the film.
The story centers on the trials and tribulations of a Hollywood chef and an aspiring actress who embark on a get-rich-quick scheme, setting off a comedy of errors. Kevin Farley, John Farley, Jennifer Farley and Matt Berman wrote the script.
Cast also includes Chris Kattan, Norm McDonald, Horatio Sanz, Chris Parnell, Jeremy London, Nicky Whelan, and Kevin and John Farley.
