Ed Helms (“The Office”) will star in both Night at the Museum 2: Escape From the Smithsonian and Mark and Michael Polish’s indie comedy Manure alongside Billy Bob Thornton.
Manure revolves around a trio of manure salesmen in 1960s heartland America. Helms will play Chet, a womanizing manure peddler. The Polish brothers wrote the screenplay for the film, which also stars Tea Leoni and Kyle MacLachlan and is shooting in Los Angeles.
Helms will play a co-worker of Ben Stiller’s in 20th Century Fox’s Night at the Museum sequel, which is shooting in Vancouver this month.
