FOX Picks Up Undead Cop Series, The Frankenstein Code

FOX has just picked up a new hour-long series, “The Frankenstein Code” (formerly just “Frankenstein”) from writer and executive producers Rand Ravich (“Life,” “Crisis’) and Howard Gordon (“Homeland”). Rob Kazinsky, who stars in this weekend’s Hot Pursuit, will play the leading role of Jimmy Pritchard, a morally corrupt retired cop who is given a second chance at life when he is brought back from the dead. Now younger and stronger, Pritchard will have to choose between his old temptations and his new sense of purpose.

The horror-drama will co-star Adhir Kalyan (“Rules of Engagement”) as Otto Goodwin, one of the men responsible for Pritchard’s undead existence. Hugh Fitzpatrick (“Tyrant”) serves as co-executive producer, with Michael Cuesta also executive producing and directing the pilot.

The series will also star Dilshad Vadsaria as Mary, Tim DeKay as Duval Pritchard and Ciara Bravo as Gracie Pritchard.

“The Frankenstein Code” joins new the FOX series “Rosewood,” a medical drama that stars Morris Chestnut as Miami’s top pathologist, Dr. Beaumont Rosewood Jr. The fates of two other potential FOX series, “Minority Report” (continuing the world of Steven Spielberg’s 2002 feature) and “Lucifer,” (based on the Vertigo comic book series) have not yet been revealed by the network.
