In theory, this would be Zemeckis’ third movie in a row based on a true story after 2012’s Flight starring Denzel Washington and the upcoming The Walk starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt (based on events that were documented in the Oscar-winning Man on Wire).
Before shooting this film, Carell will wrap up The Big Short with his Anchorman director Adam McKay, Brad Pitt, Christian Bale and Ryan Gosling, as well as the drama Freehold, opposite Julianne Moore and Ellen Page.
