Scodelario, who starred in the Sundance drama The Truth About Emanuel, is currently shooting the sequel Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials and will likely start filming the next “Pirates” movie once that’s done.
Despite a number of delays, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales will start shooting in Australia soon, directed by Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg of the Oscar-nominated foreign film Kon-Tiki, and Johnny Depp, Geoffrey Rush (and apparently Orlando Bloom) are all returning with Javier Bardem reportedly taking on the villain role.
