On the heels of a spooky video message from The Babadook, the monstrous family from Genndy Tartakovsky’s Hotel Transylvania are here with another video display of good tidings. The message is clear: All sorts of monsters want you to enjoy the holiday season! Check out Sony Pictures Animation’s video in the player below!
Released in 2012, Hotel Transylvania was helmed by Tartakovsky, the creator of hit animated series like “Dexter’s Laboratory” and “Samurai Jack,” and grossed more than $350 million at the worldwide box office. A sequel is on the way next year, set to hit the big screen September 25, 2015.
A family get-together in Hotel Transylvania 2 brings Vlad to town — along with some secrets and drama — to visit the estranged son he hasn’t seen in years. The legendary Mel Brooks voices the character, who turns everybody’s life upside down, from Drac (Adam Sandler), Mavis (Selena Gomez) and Jonathan (Andy Samberg) to hotel regulars such as Frank (Kevin James), Wayne Werewolf (Steve Buscemi) and Murray the Mummy (Keegan-Michael Key).
Tartakovsky is also hard at work on Popeye, his upcoming big screen take on the spinach-eating Sailor Man.
Featuring a script by Adam Sandler and Robert Smigel, Hotel Transylvania 2 hits the big screen September 25, 2015 opposite Nancy Meyers’ The Intern and D.J. Caruso’s The Disappointments Room.
