Sherri Shepherd, who was recently named co-host of “The View,” is developing a half-hour comedy for The CW that’s loosely based on her own life experiences.
Shepherd is set to produce and star in the project via ABC Studios-based producers Nina Wass and Gene Stein. Dave Flebotte (“Will & Grace”) will write it.
The untitled series will revolve around a married woman who discovers her husband has been cheating on her and has an illegitimate child. She agrees to let the child and her mother move in with the family.
Shepherd has talked openly on “The View” about her marital difficulties, including her husband’s infidelity and the child that resulted from that affair.
