Showtime has officially greenlit production on a pilot for hourlong drama “Possible Side Effects,” which hails from executive producers Tim Robbins and Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas. Robbins wrote the pilot and will direct.
Variety says “Possible Side Effects” has a two-pronged focus. In addition to exploring the dysfunctional family dynamics of the main characters, pilot will examine the politics, research, bureaucracy, miraculous cures and greed that accompany the pharmaceutical industry’s search for the next billion-dollar drug.
