Rodrigo Garcia, who is helming Sony’s upcoming drama Passengers, is aboard to write and direct an English-language remake of Live-In Maid.
The small-scale Argentine film is directed by Jorge Gaggero and stars Norma Aleandro (Gaby: A True Story).
Aleandro plays a former socialite on the verge of 60 who has run out of money but clings to her housekeeper (played by non-pro and onetime maid Norma Argentina) as both a vestige of the good life and a personal confidante of 30 years.
The remake is slated to begin shooting in mid-2008.
