Overture Films has set up a pair of thrillers, Skypath and Outside, with Lawrence Bender Productions (An Inconvenient Truth).
Skypath, written by Tony Jaswinski (Killing Time), centers on an ex-military airman making a cross-country flight in his Cessna aircraft who finds he is being pursued and terrorized by the pilot of a mysterious plane.
Outside, a supernatural thriller from Ronnie Christensen (Passengers), follows the paranormal events that occur when a broken family takes up residence in a new house that contains the gateway to a past dimension. Lee Clay (The Chumscrubber) is producing.
Bender’s credits include Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, the “Kill Bill” series and Good Will Hunting.
Overture recently greenlit its sixth film — espionage thriller Traitor, starring Don Cheadle and Guy Pearce and set to shoot next month. It is starting filming next month on police thriller Righteous Kill with Al Pacino and Robert De Niro, followed by romancer Last Chance Harvey in London in October with Dustin Hoffman and Emma Thompson.
