Rpin Suwannath will make his directorial debut in Walden Media’s adaptation of John Christopher novel The Lotus Caves.
The sci-fi thriller is set in the year 2068, with humans living on the moon in vast colonies of airtight bubbles. Two teens break out and embark on a quest to find magical, legendary caves.
Suwannath began his career interning at George Lucas’ Industrial Light & Magic, working on visual effects for Batman Forever. Suwannath incorporated his pre-visualization techniques, now an industry standard, in the “Chronicles of Narnia” and “X-Men” films, as well as Mr. & Mrs. Smith and the “Matrix” sequels.
