Director John Moore (The Omen) has optioned feature rights to dark fantasy The Book of Lost Things by bestselling Irish author John Connolly, reports Variety.
The book centers on a 12-year-old English boy whose mother died and father remarried. When a portal to another world opens, the boy enters a land of beasts and monsters, where he must undertake a quest to earn his way back out.
Moore’s credits include The Flight of the Phoenix and Behind Enemy Lines.
