Jennifer Esposito will star opposite Val Kilmer in Adam Marcus’ indie drama Conspiracy, says The Hollywood Reporter.
Esposito (Crash) will play the hardworking single mother of an 8-year-old daughter and the survivor of an abusive marriage.
Her character becomes involved with a wounded special-ops Iraq War veteran (Kilmer) after he arrives in her Arizona town to visit an old friend. Complications arise when he discovers his friend has disappeared without a trace and no one will acknowledge the man was ever there.
The film, shot mainly in New Mexico, is produced by Alison Semenza and co-written by helmer Marcus with Debra Sullivan.
