TNT is developing “Family Man,” a series about a conflicted criminal, with William H. Macy to star. Macy will write the script with longtime writing partner Steven Schachter, who is aboard to direct.
The project will examine the complicated life of a man who organizes charity drives by day and cracks the safes of major corporations by night. The story is told with the use of flash forwards, with Macy’s character seen in prison in the future.
Macy, Schachter, Craig Zadan and Neil Meron will executive produce the Sony Pictures Television show.
Macy has collaborated with TNT in the past on movies such as “Door to Door” and “The Wool Cap,” both of which Schachter directed and which he co-wrote with Macy.
