In an interview with “Scrubs” star Zach Braff at VH1.com, the actor reveals that Hoodwinked! writer/director Cory Edwards will direct Andrew Henry’s Meadow, which Braff wrote with his brother Adam J. Braff.
“[Adam] and I came up with a story based on a children’s book that we both loved as kids… It’s a big-kid’s adventure movie,” Zach said. “We describe it as if Terry Gilliam had directed ‘The Goonies.'”
The adaptation of Doris Burn’s book will be Edwards’ first live-action feature.
Frustrated when his family doesn’t appreciate his amazing inventions, Andrew Henry sets off to build a house for himself in the meadow. No sooner has he finished his house than neighbor children come wanting houses built that suit their unique interests. Andrew Henry is happy to oblige, and soon nine houses stand in the meadow.
