During The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 14 reunion, Kyle Richards addressed speculation about her relationship with Morgan Wade, saying, “When the chatter first started happening, before the music video and all that, that would never have crossed my mind” (via Bravo TV).
She continued, “I have a very specific type. And I started thinking… is this a crush? I don’t know.” She added, “It did make me think, well, what is going on here? Ya know, maybe I’m not seeing something.”
In Part 1 of the reunion, Kyle explained why she avoided discussing Morgan during Season 14, saying, “Morgan did not sign up for this show. She does not want to be part of it. She’s not a part of the cast.” Kyle revealed that Morgan’s appearance in Season 13 was “a favor” and added, “What ensued after that created a lot of anxiety for her, and she didn’t ask for this life.”
Kyle said media attention made her realize she needed to talk to her daughters about her friendship with Morgan. “It had gotten to that point where it was something that I needed to address with my daughters,” she said. “I wasn’t quite sure myself, to be honest” (via US Weekly).
She described the conversation as “uncomfortable” and “hard,” but praised her daughters’ support. “It was just a really proud moment for me, as a mom,” she said. Kyle recalled how Portia, 16, reacted: “She came over and she put her arms around me and she said, ‘I love you, and there’s nothing you could say that would make us not love you.’” Kyle added, “It gave me the freedom to say, OK, I can do what I want and be who I want.”
