Codeblack Finds a Good Man

Codeblack Entertainment has started production on A Good Man Is Hard to Find, the first project under its deal with 20th Century Fox’s recently launched faith-based label, FoxFaith.

Golden Brooks (“Girlfriends”), Darrin Dewitt Henson (Stomp the Yard), Hill Harper (“CSI: NY”), R&B singer Deborah Cox and Melissa De Sousa (“One on One”) lead the cast in the adaptation of the 1990s gospel stage play.

The movie is filming in Baton Rouge, La., for theatrical release in January. Leslie Small (Hair Show) is directing his own adaptation of the play by the Rev. David Payton.

The story concerns three women who each undergo romantic and spiritual crises. The stage play logged more than 1,500 performances from 1991-96.
