Appe TV+ has announced the Severance Season 3 renewal for its acclaimed sci-fi drama, which will wrapped up its 10-episode second season today. Since making its debut in 2022, the show has maintained a high average rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with a Tomatometer score of 96%.
The workplace thriller series is created and written by Dan Erickson, who’s also serving as an executive producer along with director Ben Stiller and lead star Adam Scott. The latest season features returning cast members Britt Lower, Tramell Tillman, Zach Cherry, Jen Tullock, Michael Chernus, Dichen Lachman, John Turturro, Christopher Walken, and Patricia Arquette. They were joined by new cast members Sarah Bock, Bob Balaban, Robby Benson, Stefano Carannante, Gwendoline Christie, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, John Noble, Alia Shawkat and Merritt Wever.
What did Ben Stiller say about the Severance Season 3 renewal?
In his statement, Stiller expressed his excitement for the next installment. For his work on the first installment, Stiller received two Emmy nominations for Outstanding Drama Series and Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series.
“Making Severance has been one of the most creatively exciting experiences I’ve ever been a part of,” Stiller said. “While I have no memory of this, I’m told making season three will be equally enjoyable, though any recollection of these future events will be forever and irrevocably wiped from my memory as well.”
Besides Stiller, Scott and Erickson have also shared their thoughts regarding the Season 3 renewal.
“I couldn’t be more excited to get back to work with Ben, Dan, the incredible cast and crew, Apple and the whole Severance team,” Scott said. “Oh hey also — not a huge deal — but if you see my innie, please don’t mention any of this to him. Thanks.”
Erickson added, “The idea of getting to make more Severance with the greatest cast and crew on Earth is more thrilling to me than all the world’s finger traps combined. I can’t wait to continue spreading woe, frolic, dread and malice with these truly incredible people.”
