Recently, streaming platforms like Netflix have started a trend of dividing seasons into two parts. Their show Cobra Kai Season 6 was split into three parts. This strategy helps maintain the hype and curiosity of the show among viewers. However, Amazon Prime Video does not seem to follow this trend with Invincible Season 3. All the episodes of Season 3 were released on their scheduled release dates without any delays or breaks.
While Season 3 has come to an end, the makers had confirmed a fourth season ahead of the recent season’s premiere. The show’s creator Robert Kirkman officially announced Season 4 in July 2024 at San Diego Comic-Con. In an interview with The Direct, Kirkman said their current focus is to make sure the show comes out as regularly as possible without any distractions. While talking about any Invincible specials that might be lined up, he explained, “So right now, the focus has been getting season 3 wrapped up, getting season 4 wrapped up. Hopefully, once those are all tied up, we’ll have some time to figure out how to do a little bit more, but we may not. I don’t know, we’ll see.” The creator also hopes to have over 11 seasons for the series.
Additionally, J.K. Simmons, the voice of Omni-Man, confirmed in February 2025 that he has started early work on the next season. He stated to Collider, “Yeah, we actually have, dipped our toes – or at least I have – into the next season.”
While the official date is not confirmed, Invincible Season 4 is expected to be released sometime in 2026.
