Kanye West Regrets Deleting Beyoncé & Jay Z Tweet

Kanye West is at the center of another controversy on X (formerly Twitter). The rapper, who recently released his new album Bully, took to the social media platform to comment on Beyoncé and Jay Z‘s kids, only to later express regret—not for the tweet itself, but for deleting it.

Kanye West posts on Twitter about Jay Z and Beyoncé

In a now-deleted post on X, Kanye West commented on Beyoncé and Jay Z’s children. “Wait has anyone ever seen Jay Z and Beyonce’s younger kids they’re retarded. No like literally / And this is why artificial insemination is such a blessing / having retarded children is a choice.” The post quickly went viral, drawing flak for its insensitive and offensive nature (via Entertainment Weekly).

Despite the backlash, West doubled down on his comments, expressing frustration over removing the post. “Somebody from my music team called me and begged me to take it down and spoke on Twitter banning etc. I’m soooo mad I took that down,” West wrote.

In another post, he lashed out at Jay Z, writing, “Ain’t no celebrity ever said nothing to come to my aid when it came to these white women taking my kids cause they was mad I was wearing a Trump hat / F*** Jay Z and his whole family especially his shooters.”

West’s outbursts come amid the release of his new album, Bully, which debuted as a short film at midnight on Wednesday. The film, starring his son Saint West, features the young boy wielding a mallet in a wrestling ring, symbolically fending off attackers. The album is currently only available through a password-protected file, with no confirmation of a wider release on streaming platforms.
