Gal Gadot & Vin Diesel’s Relationship & Friendship Explained

Are you curious about the real-life bond between Vin Diesel and Gal Gadot? The Fast & Furious co-stars have shared the screen in multiple films, leading to speculation about their off-screen relationship. With Diesel frequently emphasizing the theme of “family” and Gadot making a surprise return to the franchise, fans continue to wonder about their connection.

Here’s a closer look at how their friendship began, their collaborations over the years, and the moments that have fueled discussions about their close relationship.

Is Gal Gadot friends with Vin Diesel?

Vin Diesel and Gal Gadot first met on the set of Fast & Furious (2009), where Gadot played Gisele Yashar.

They have remained friends since then. Diesel has publicly acknowledged their bond, sharing on social media, “There are no words I can say that can convey how proud I am of you,” after Gadot’s success in Wonder Woman (2017) (via US Magazine).

Gadot returned to the Fast & Furious franchise in Fast X (2023) after her character had been absent since Furious 7 (2015). Diesel confirmed that she had filmed scenes for earlier installments that were not included. Speaking to Variety, Diesel stated, “Gal had shot scenes for previous movies, but they didn’t make it in. Now, we finally made it happen.”

Diesel has been in a long-term relationship with model Paloma Jiménez, and they have three children together. Gadot shares three children with her husband, businessman Yaron Versano, whom she married in 2008.

At Gadot’s Walk of Fame ceremony in March 2025, Diesel called her “family” and shared his mother’s early praise of their chemistry. He stated, “The best thing about the movie was your chemistry with Gal Gadot.” He also shared that Gadot was one of the first people to support him after the death of Fast & Furious co-star Paul Walker.

Diesel has shared photos of them together outside of work, including one where they are sitting by a pool with their children. The caption read, “When we aren’t playing superheroes … All love.” Diesel has frequently used the word “family” to describe his bond with Gadot in interviews and public appearances.
