ComingSoon is debuting an exclusive When the Ringlights Dim trailer for Freestyle Digital Media‘s upcoming mystery thriller, which hails from filmmaker Wil Glavin. The film will be available to rent or own on all North American digital HD internet, cable, and satellite platforms, as well as on DVD, starting on April 4, 2025. Prior to its VOD release, the film will first have its Los Angeles premiere at the Illusion Magic Theater in Santa Monica on Thursday, April 3, 2025.
“When I sat down to write When the Ringlights Dim, I wanted to find that perfect amalgamation between light-hearted fun and pulse-pounding thrills,” Glavin said in a statement. “As someone who has always had a deep passion for 1940s and 1950s film noir, my goal was to write a mystery with a classic flair and combine it with the inimitable content creators that help capture the 2020s cultural zeitgeist.”

What happens in the When the Ringlights Dim trailer?
The video features a popular content creator who gets kidnapped by an unknown assailant. Now, it’s up to her influencer friends to find her whereabouts and solve the mystery behind her kidnapping. The film is written, directed, and produced by Glavin in his feature directorial debut. The cast includes Valentina Mami as Cassia, Jadelyn Breier as Elle, Anuschka van Lent as Zari, Angelica Jensen as JJ, Ian S. Peterson as Loon, and Glavin as Gavin. It is produced by Valentina Mami and Mike J. Kim.
“In When the Ringlights Dim, a famed Los Angeles-based content creator is kidnapped. There’s no evidence and no obvious suspects,” reads the official synopsis. “Unable to involve the police, a group of influencers takes it upon themselves to track down their missing friend. They attempt to solve this twisted mystery the only way they know how: through social media sites, dating apps, and content house contacts.”
