Lizzy Caplan A24 Crisis PR Show Gets Order Amid Justin Baldoni & Blake Lively Lawsuit

An A24 crisis PR show starring Mean Girls and Cobweb actress Lizzy Caplan has landed at Netflix amid the legal battle between It Ends With Us co-stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni. The role Baldoni’s crisis PR firm has played in the ongoing drama has put the field into the public eye.

The untitled project, which reportedly had “multiple bidders,” will hail from A24, American Horror Story: Delicate showrunner Halley Feiffer, Marti Noxon‘s Tiny Pyro Productions, Vox Media Studios, and Caplan’s Westborn banner. A24 will be the potential show’s studio.

What will Lizzy Caplan’s A24 crisis PR show be about?

The planned series, based on Shawn McCreesh’s New York Magazine article about crisis PR veteran Risa Heller, received offers from streaming giants Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu. According to Deadline, the untitled crisis PR show will center on “New York’s premiere crisis PR fixer (Caplan) as she helps high-profile clients navigate the worst days of their lives while striving to maintain her own image as a happily married mother of three without any crises of her own to hide.”

The project will be written by Feiffer, who will also serve as showrunner. Feiffer will also executive produce the potential series along with Noxon, Tiny Pyro’s Maria Grasso, Caplan and Tom Riley through Westborn Pictures, Scoop Wasserstein, and Jess Lubben.

Best known for her Janis Ian role in the 2004 teen flick Mean Girls, Caplan has already starred in a number of movies and television shows including Master of Sex, Cloverfield, The Interview, Party Down, Save the Date, Bachelorette, Fleishman is in Trouble, Castle Rock, and Now You See Me 2.

The actress can currently be seen in Netflix’s political thriller Zero Day, opposite Robert De Niro. Her other credits include Fatal Attraction, Inside Job, Truth Be Told, True Blood, The Class, The Pitts, The People We Hate at the Wedding, Extinction, The Night Before, Queens of Country, Save the Date, The Last Rites of Ransom Pride, and more.
