Sadie Sink has joined the cast of Spider-Man 4.
A fourth Spider-Man movie starring Tom Holland as Peter Parker is currently in the works at Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures Releasing. The film currently has a July 2026 release date, meaning it will come out after Avengers: Doomsday but before Avengers: Secret Wars.
Per Deadline, Sink has now been cast in Spider-Man 4. It has not yet been officially announced who she’ll be playing in the movie, though a rumor has circulated for months that Marvel may be eying her to play the iconic X-Men character Jean Grey.
“As for who Sink will be playing, the prevailing theory is she’ll be introduced as X-Men character Jean Grey, but don’t count out the idea that she shows up as another beloved redheaded Spider-Man character,” Deadline’s article reads. “What is known is that the role will be a significant one given how the most recent film, Spider-Man: No Way Home, concluded with Parker making the decision to complete Doctor Strange’s spell that erases his identity from the world.”
Sink is best known for playing Max Mayfield in Netflix’s Stranger Things. She also starred in the second and third Fear Street movies, while her filmography additionally includes 2017’s The Glass Castle, 2019’s Eli, 2022’s The Whale, and more.
