Gabriel Luna, whose credits include Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and The Last of Us, has been added to the cast of Prime Video’s The Terminal List Season 2. Based on the namesake book by Jack Carr, The Terminal List follows Chris Pratt’s Lieutenant Commander James Reece, a Navy Seal who embarks on the path of revenge after the deaths of his loved ones. Season 1 premiered on July 1, 2022, and Prime Video greenlit the sophomore season of the show in February 2023.
Gabriel Luna joins the cast of The Terminal List Season 2
The 42-year-old actor, arguably best known for playing Robbie Reyes / Ghost Rider on the ABC superhero series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Tommy Miller in HBO’s HBO post-apocalyptic horror drama series The Last of Us, has joined The Terminal List Season 2 cast. Gabriel Luna will play Freddy Strain, an erstwhile SEAL Team 6 Senior Chief who currently serves as an officer with the CIA’s Ground Branch.
According to the official description, “Freddy Strain is a man of two worlds – equal parts elite sniper and dedicated family man. His belief that James Reece survived the events of ‘The Terminal List’ S1 will pull the ‘Most Wanted Man on the Planet’ out of hiding and back into the fray. Reece shows Freddy that desperate times can call for operating outside the lines, while Freddy’s commitment to family, country, and cause will help guide Reece on his path to redemption.” (via Variety)
Season 2 is reportedly adapting Carr’s 2019 book True Believer, the second entry in the Terminal List / James Reece series of novels. As per Chris Pratt, production will start in March 2025 and continue until the fall of this year.
Additionally, a prequel series to The Terminal List, titled The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, is currently in production. The series will focus on Taylor Kitsch’s Ben Edwards and also feature Pratt’s James Reece from the original series.
