In a surprising piece of news, the wife of Ghost Adventures star Aaron Goodwin has been arrested and charged with solicitation to murder after allegedly trying to hire a hitman to kill her husband.
What happened between Aaron Goodwin and his wife?
According to the arrest report for Victoria Goodwin (via TMZ), Goodwin was charged with solicitation to commit murder and conspiracy to commit murder last week. The report notes that Goodwin was messaging an inmate at a Florida prison about potentially getting out of her marriage with Aaron, specifically asking “am I a bad person? Because I chose to end his existence. Not divorce.”
Victoria is currently being held on $100,000 bail and is still believed to be in police custody.
The report also noted that Goodwin provided information about Aaron’s location and various filming information while he was in California filming episodes of Ghost Adventures last October.
Police say she had set aside more than $11,000 to pay someone in the alleged plot, and in text messages to the inmate, Victoria asked about the plot, writing, “He’s asleep right now in the hotel room . . . I need to know what’s going on. Can I get an update. Was it done?”
According to TMZ’s report, police only found out about the plot after corrections officers found the inmate’s phone in prison. It’s unclear exactly what happened with the incident in October, however. In statements to the police, Victoria denied wanting her husband killed, saying that she was simply fantasizing about being without her husband. She also said she had no recollection of sending the texts and that the money was set aside for other things.
Aaron and Victoria were married in 2022 at Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion. In a statement to TMZ, Goodwin says he believed he was in a happy marriage and has been “blindsided and devastated” at the events that transpired.
