What role does The Bachelorette’s Guy Gansert play in General Hospital?

Guy Gansert, the runner-up on The Golden Bachelorette season 1, is making his acting debut on General Hospital.

He plays Geoffrey, a wildlife journalist who visits Nina (Cynthia Watros.) In their scene, Geoffrey discusses his travel experiences, particularly in the Tierra del Fuego archipelago, while Nina shows interest in both his professional work and personal life.

Gansert’s transition to acting stemmed from his involvement in The Golden Bachelorette. Four weeks later, he was offered a guest role.

Before entering television, Gansert had a long career in emergency medicine. He worked at Northern Nevada Emergency Physicians and was Chief of Staff at Renown Medical Center from 2005 to 2007. Before that, he served as Medical Director for Emergency Medicine at Renown Regional Emergency Room from 1994 to 2005.

Gansert studied medicine at the University of Nevada, Reno, and specialized in Emergency Medicine at the University of Louisville. After retiring, he shifted to entertainment. He first appeared on The Golden Bachelorette before landing a guest role on General Hospital.

His General Hospital debut is scheduled for March 12, 2025, on ABC. The cast, including Maura West and Cynthia Watros, welcomed him, as reported by People magazine. Fans can tune in to see how Geoffrey’s storyline unfolds.
