What happens in the Livestream trailer?
The Livestream trailer sees a woman, played by Moliski, start a live video feed on her phone. She sets the camera down in front of a window looking out into a creepy woods for a while, at which point a hooded figure can be seen approaching the house. A window breaks shortly after Moiski’s character picks up the phone again, and she then runs for safety.
“As a team of livestreamers embark on a haunted house challenge, they quickly realize that the scares may be more real than they anticipated,” a description of the film reads. “With each twist and turn, they must navigate through the terror and fight to survive the night.”
Soares said in a statement about Livestream, “We’re in an era where social media has blurred the lines between reality and entertainment. With Livestream, we take that concept to its terrifying extreme—what if the fear was real? This film taps into modern anxieties about content creation, internet fame, and the unforeseen consequences of always being live. Our film is meant to make the audience feel like they are watching a real Livestream, including reading the comments, that most of the time are not too kind and reflect how society behaves online with zero empathy towards one another.”
The Horror Collective is the genre label of Entertainment Squad. Entertainment Squad CEO Shaked Berenson said, “What makes Livestream so relevant right now is its exploration of the dangers of digital culture. It’s a fresh take on horror that speaks to our current obsession with streaming and online experiences. Horror fans will love how it flips the script on traditional haunted house stories by making the audience feel like they are part of the nightmare.”
Livestream will be available on Digital and On Demand platforms on March 25, 2025.
