Millie Bobby Brown calls out journalists for bullying her

Millie Bobby Brown is speaking out against the media’s intense focus on her appearance, labeling it as “bullying.” In a recent Instagram video, the Stranger Things star called out journalists for publishing articles that criticize her changing looks. Brown, who has been in the public eye since childhood, expressed frustration over being treated as if she should never change.

She highlighted several recent headlines that questioned her appearance. This includes “Why are Gen Zers like Millie Bobby Brown aging so badly?,” “What has Millie Bobby Brown done to her face?,” and more

Brown was particularly disturbed that some of the most critical pieces were written by women. She highlighted the contradiction between calls to support young women and the reality of tearing them down for clicks.

The actress made it clear that she refuses to conform to unrealistic expectations. She said, “I refuse to apologize for growing up. I refuse to make myself smaller to fit the unrealistic expectations of people who can’t handle seeing a girl become a woman. I will not be shamed for how I look, how I dress, or how I present myself.” She also expressed concern over the culture of negativity, questioning why it has become easier to criticize than to offer support.

Brown has previously addressed speculation about her appearance. After unveiling her platinum blonde hair, some online users claimed the new look made her seem older. In response, she shared a British Vogue article, titled “No One Cares How Old You Think Millie Bobby Brown Looks” on her Instagram Stories. Brown simply wrote, “Thank you,” under the post.
