The creators of Peppa Pig have announced that Mummy Pig is expecting her third baby. This exciting news comes nearly two decades after the beloved piglet’s television debut in 2004. With the family preparing to welcome a new member, Peppa is set to become a big sister once again.

Peppa Pig to get another sibling as mother is pregnant
As per an exclusive report by The Independent, Hasbro has confirmed that Peppa Pig’s mother will welcome her third piglet soon. The family will reveal the big news on a special episode airing on Mother’s Day, ahead of Season 11’s premiere. That means we won’t get to meet the little one until later this year.
Mummy Pig herself has made recent media appearances sharing the good news. In a February 27, 2025, interview on Good Morning Britain, Mummy Pig announced, “Well, I’m excited to share that our family is getting even bigger because… we’re having another baby!” She further continued, “I’m due in the summer, and we’re all so excited… A little overwhelmed at the thought of having three children under five running around, but mostly just completely delighted.”
Of course, Peppa, Daddy Pig, and little George are already in the loop as well. “We weren’t able to keep it a secret for long. Peppa knew something was going on, and she’s such a curious thing — we had to tell her before she popped!” shared Mummy. The family has yet to decide on a name for the baby.
Esra Cafer, the senior VP of Hasbro’s franchise-related management, has chimed in on the significance of the pregnancy. “Preschoolers welcoming a new sibling will strongly relate to these new stories and can learn how to handle the new moment,” she said. “Even only children will delight in watching the ups and downs of having a new baby in the Peppa house. It allows parents and children to learn with Peppa as she navigates new territory,” noted Cafer.
