In addition to Chandler and Pierre, the cast of Lanterns includes Kelly Macdonald as Kerry, Garret Dillahunt as William Macon, Poorna Jagannathan as Zoe, and Ulrich Thomsen as Sinestro.
“The series follows new recruit John Stewart and Lantern legend Hal Jordan, two intergalactic cops drawn into a dark, earth-based mystery as they investigate a murder in the American heartland,” the logline for Lanterns reads.
Pierre recently said of getting to play the DCU’s John Stewart when speaking on The Chris Evans Breakfast Show, “DC gave me the call. I’m very grateful, very happy to be part of the team. This character is John Stewart. He’s part of the Green Lantern Corp. For me, this character has always radiated class. He’s always radiated charisma. Strength, identity. So I’m very happy to be bringing him to life in a live-action context.”
A premiere date for Lanterns has not yet been announced; however, it is expected to launch sometime in 2026. Gunn previously said the show will likely premiere sometime around the release of Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. That movie currently has a June 26, 2026, release date from Warner Bros.
