NFL superstar Travis Kelce is melting Swifties’ hearts again after revealing how his partner, Taylor Swift, helped him cope with the recent Super Bowl loss. The Kansas City Chiefs failed to secure a victory against the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX, which took place at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on February 9, 2025.
Here’s everything you need to know about how Taylor Swift supported her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, after the Super Bowl defeat.
How did Taylor Swift support Travis Kelce?
Travis Kelce revealed that listening to Taylor Swift’s music helped him immensely in grappling with the recent Super Bowl loss. The Chiefs’ tight end recently sat down with his brother, Jason Kelce, for their podcast New Heights to discuss the loss and what helps him cope with a low mood.
Jason asked his younger brother if he listens to sad music when he’s feeling down, to which Travis replied, “Jason, the only way you can find yourself in the light is to find yourself in the dark first. Right? I listen to music that is very telling of my mood.” When Jason shared that he prefers “sad country songs” during tough times, Travis revealed that his girlfriend Taylor Swift’s music lifts him up.
“I just listen to Taylor’s music. She has something for everything,” Travis noted. Jason agreed, stating, “That’s fair. That’s a good point. No matter what mood, you can find some Taylor music.”
The Love Story singer has always been there for Kelce in person as well. She has supported him by attending nearly all of his games since the couple began dating in 2023.
As for Kelce’s future in the NFL, Chiefs General Manager Brett Veach shared some good news. “We’re excited to have Travis back,” he confirmed, debunking retirement rumors (via NFL: The Insiders).
