The I See the Demon teaser trailer details a surprise party for Lucy, a woman who mysteriously cannot remember her day after seeing a strange object in the sky. As the party goes on, she realizes things aren’t what they seem, even if her friends are trying to convince her otherwise.
I See the Demon is set to have its world premiere at the Cinequest Film Festival on March 20, 2025, with a second screening happening on March 23. Tickets for both screenings are available now on the Cinequest festival’s website.

I See the Demon is directed by Jacob Lees Johnson, from a script co-written by Johnson, Davey Morrison, and Martha Duzett. The film is produced by Jordan Augustine, Ashley Cook, Barrett Burgin, Derek Romrell, and Jacob Lees Johnson.
Alongside Heder and Zollicoffer, I See the Demon also stars Mallory Everton, Noah Kershisnik, Archelaus Crisanto, Dave Martinez, Mac Steele Foster, and Oran Stainbrook.
“After seeing a strange object floating in the sky, Lucy comes home to a surprise birthday party with all of her favorite people,” reads the film’s official synopsis. “She’s overjoyed, but when asked about her day, she realizes she can’t remember anything about it. Her loved ones assure her it’s nothing to worry about, but as more unsettling things occur that only she seems to notice, they keep telling her to relax…enjoy the party… there’s nothing to worry about…we’ll take care of you…As the evening descends into madness, Lucy must discern reality from illusion, and who of her friends are really on her side. All of this will reveal the forgotten trauma Lucy’s tried to bury, and the secrets of a bizarre procedure she cannot understand.”
