Blake Lively’s Demands for Justin Baldoni Included ‘No More Mention of Genitalia,’ & More

More information has come to light on the alleged list of demands that Blake Lively made in a meeting between herself, Ryan Reynolds, and Wayfarer Studios’ Justin Baldoni and Jamey Heath.

What were some of Blake Lively’s demands for Justin Baldoni?

According to a report from THR, an “all hands” meeting was called between executives at Wayfarer StudiosSony, and Lively, as well as her husband Ryan Reynolds. In that meeting, Lively reportedly said she would walk away from the movie if Baldoni and Wayfarer producing partner Jamey Heath didn’t agree to certain conditions, which the report lists as a “wide-ranging list of 30 demands,” all of which centered on the environment on set of the film being “out of control.”

A new report from THR this week outlines what some of the demands were. According to Lively’s amended complaint filed in the Southern District court, a list of 17 demands included “no more mention of genitalia” to Lively, “no more mention of their previous porn addictions or Lively’s lack of pornographic consumption to Lively or to other crew members,” and “no more discussions with Lively or her employees as to their personal experiences with sex, as it relates spouses or others”.

Other demands included Sony hiring an “A-list” veteran producer to come on board and aid Lively. The lawsuit that Baldoni filed in court notes that he and Heath signed the demands “under duress,” something that sources close to THR said Baldoni should not have done initially.

“He never should have signed off on that,” said a source close to The Hollywood Reporter on the matter when the demands were originally reported. “But if you look at the statement, it doesn’t say ‘I will stop doing these things.’ It says ‘I won’t do this.’ There’s a big difference.”

Lively’s initial complaint alleges that Baldoni created a hostile work environment

All of this stems from a formal complaint that Lively made against Baldoni in December. In it, she states that things got so bad during the filming of It Ends With Us that an all-hands-on-deck meeting was called in response to her claims of a hostile work environment. During the meeting, Lively asked that Baldoni stop showing her nude videos or images of women, that he stop mentioning his pornography addiction to her, that Baldoni stop discussing sexual experiences in front of her, and that he also stop mentioning Lively’s weight.

The complaint also claims that an agreement was made between production company Wayfarer Studios and the cast in which the promotion of the movie would focus “more on [Lively’s character’s] strength and resilience as opposed to describing the film as a story about domestic violence.” However, Lively claims that Baldoni would renege on that and instead spoke in interviews about the film’s serious story.

Lively also claimed that Baldoni and his PR manager, Melissa Nathan, discussed ways to start a social media campaign to harm her reputation. The filing by Lively includes 22 pages of texts between Baldoni’s publicist and Nathan, in which they discuss wanting to have Lively “buried.”
