Jordon Smith Shares Injury Update After Arlington Crash

Jordon Smith’s night at the Arlington Triple Crown came to an abrupt pause after an injury. The Triumph Factory Racing rider went down hard in the whoops section, requiring medical attention before being carried off the track. Now, many fans are concerned about his condition.

Jordon Smith has recently provided an update on his injuries on social media. Here is what he said.

What happened to Jordon Smith?

Jordon Smith’s night at the Arlington Triple Crown took a devastating turn when a crash in the final race forced him out of competition. While leading and on track for a potential victory, Smith lost control of his No. 19 Triumph bike in the whoops section, sending him crashing hard to the ground. The impact prevented him from continuing, and medical personnel quickly attended to him. Later, he was stretchered off the track and taken to a local hospital.

Jordon Smith later provided an injury update on social media, revealing he had suffered a punctured lung and broken ribs. He expressed disappointment over the crash but remained positive about his recovery. Smith wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “Hey guys, obviously really bummed with going down so hard like that. Was feeling good and felt good all the way through. I’m in the hospital right now. Unfortunately, I sustained a punctured lung and possibly some broken ribs. All good we will heal up and be back as soon as possible.” Heading into the event, Smith was just two points behind Julien Beaumer in the 250SX West Championship standings. However, after scoring no points in Arlington, he dropped to fifth place.

His injury adds to the growing challenges for Triumph Factory Racing, which now has three of its four riders sidelined. Stilez Robertson is recovering from wrist surgery, and Jalek Swoll is out for the season with an Achilles injury. Austin Forkner is now the team’s only healthy rider. Smith’s return to competition remains uncertain.
