Adam and Shauna first met each other after she had caused an accident that rear-ended the former’s car. However, the two only kicked off their romance after the latter began suspecting her husband, Jeff, was having an affair with someone.

Adam eventually attempted to glean personal and sensitive information from Shauna about her past with the Yellowjackets after several encounters. This alarmed her as he was being shady about his true identity. She also became suspicious of his motives.

Shauna’s suspicion of Adam played into the overarching narrative of Yellowjackets Season 1. This narrative involved all former and surviving members of the group getting blackmailed by an unknown person.
