How Does [Spoiler] Die on General Hospital?

General Hospital is getting more intense with every episode. The present track showcased things taking a terrifying turn with lives at risk due to the ruthless Cyrus Renault played by Jeff Kober. However, in a surprising turn of events, the killer has passed away. So, what happened to Cyrus and how did he die in General Hospital?

Here are the latest General Hospital spoilers explaining the death sequence of the deadly character in the soap opera.

Cyrus’ death on General Hospital explained

Cyrus was killed by JossIyn in General Hospital.

As fans are aware, the recent episodes witnessed Elizabeth spying on Cyrus to prove him as a cold-blooded murderer of several people. However, she falls in danger as Cyrus shows up at her doorstep carrying a syringe of Digitalis. Elizabeth’s face turns pale but she is saved by Lucky, who is eventually injected with the syringe.

While Lucky is rushed to the hospital, Cyrus comes face-to-face with Jossyln at his secret hideout. It seems Josslyn was also spying on him, as she was trying to uncover the murder mystery of her lover Dex Heller. She manages to find the medical bracelets of every Digitalis victim but Cyrus catches her red-handed. Cyrus gets an axe and decides to kill her as well. However, things take an interesting turn, when Josslyn pulls out Dex’s gun she found in his apartment.

She ends up shooting Cyrus in the chest who collapses on the floor. Cyrus tells her that now she is the murderer and takes his last breath in front of her eyes. Jossyln panics seeing Cyrus’ dead body and eventually calls up Brennan for help.

Is Cyrus truly dead on General Hospital or could he return?

Currently, Cyrus’ comeback looks unlikely in General Hospital.

As mentioned above, Cyrus has faced a brutal death at the hands of Josslyn. His death sequence was clear and signs of him coming back from the dead are less, as of now. Additionally, actor Jeff Kober has confirmed his exit from the show, as he expressed gratitude in his interview with Soap Opera Digest. He said:

“I would like to thank the audience for working through their initial hatred of Cyrus — of course, this is just from social media, that’s all I can go on — to embracing him as a valid character and a good place to put their anger and judgment and hatred! I really do appreciate the fans’ appreciation of me and of the character and of the stories we were able to tell.”

It will interesting to see how Cyrus’ death brings new twists in the series.
