Teasers for a Tony Hawk video game have been around for a while now. However, there have been very recent rumblings pointing towards new announcements in the near future. The most recent of these teases is actually in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 on a map that was introduced this season.
When is the new Tony Hawk video game announcement date?
As pointed out by CharlieIntel, the latest Tony Hawk video game tease is on the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 multiplayer map Grind. The map currently features art based on the game’s latest collaboration, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Within the in-game skate shop is a TV screen with the date March 4, 2025. While the date isn’t all that special, the font and other assets surrounding the date are suggestive. These include a silhouette that very much looks like the Birdman maybe performing some sort of stall or grind.
To further confirm that this is a tease for an upcoming Tony Hawk video game announcement, Tony Hawk replied to CharlieIntel’s tweet. Although he didn’t say anything, he did respond with an eyes emoji. Something is clearly going on with the beloved series in a couple of weeks.
Not much else is known about the announcement, but it’s fun to speculate. One facet of this tease that has been pointed out is the date. Numerically, the date is 3-4-25. The use of three and four might be a tease that this is the previously pitched but canceled Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 which would remake the third and fourth entry of the series, similar to Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2.
Additionally, two-time Thrasher Skater of the Year Tyshawn Jones recently stated that he is in a new Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater remaster and that it’s “about to come out.” Could this be the release date for the remaster? We’ll just have to wait and see on March 4.
