ABC has officially granted a straight-to-series order to 9-1-1 Nashville, a brand new spin-off to Ryan Murphy‘s long-running procedural drama. This comes after the Rob Lowe-led 9-1-1: Lone Star had just wrapped up its five-season run earlier this month.
When is the 9-1-1 Nashville release date window?
ABC is currently planning to release 9-1-1 Nashville during its 2025-2026 broadcast season. The spin-off is written and executive produced by franchise creators Murphy and Tim Minear, along with Lone Star showrunner Rashad Raisani. At the moment, further details about its plot and characters are still being kept under wraps.
It will also executive produced by Brad Falchuk, alongside award-winning actress Angela Bassett, who portrays one of the lead roles in the main series. It is a production by 20th Television in association with Ryan Murphy Television.
The original show centers around lives of first responders, police officers, firefighters, and paramedics. Besides Bassett, the cast also includes Peter Krause as Bobby, Oliver Stark as Buck, Aisha Hinds as Hen, Kenneth Choi as Chimney, Jennifer Love Hewitt as Maddie, Gavin McHugh as Christopher, Ryan Guzman as Eddie and more. The hit drama has been on-air since 2018. It currently has an overall average Tomatometer rating of 85% on Rotten Tomatoes.
