Then I threw a bunch of blood clots and ended up in the hospital with lung embolisms and debris on my heart,” he explained. Despite these setbacks, Rich remained optimistic, stating, “After surviving all of that crap, I’m feeling really, really good.”
Now, Rich is making a comeback with a guest role on NBC’s Happy’s Place, featuring alongside his former Reba co-star Reba McEntire. The show will mark a reunion not only with McEntire but also with Melissa Peterman, who played Barbra Jean on Reba. Christopher Rich’s character Maverick in the new show, is a local tattoo artist who has also experienced a stroke. “I’m hoping that when some of this gets out there, that people that I’ve worked with in the past are going to say, ‘OK, let’s bring him back. We can work with him,’” he stated.
