Why Fans Think OA Is Leaving FBI: Absence Explained

OA, aka Omar Adom Zidan, was absent from a prominent case in FBI, leaving many wondering if he is leaving the show. Introduced in 2018, he is a key character and special agent, who often collaborates with Maggie Bell on various dangerous cases. The episode titled “Manhunt” follows only Maggie leading a high-profile human trafficking case. Concerns about OA’s departure emerged when he was nowhere to be seen in the episode. However, the next episode promo has cleared the air around his exit. So, here are the details.

Where is Zeeko Zaki’ Omar Adom Zidan aka OA, and is he leaving FBI?

The next episode’s promo didn’t provide specifics about his absence. However, it is possible that he had to take a break for an episode due to the FBI’s cast rotation policy. Also, Zeeko Zaki, who plays OA, is not leaving FBI.

The promo for the new episode, Hitched, confirms that OA is not leaving FBI. He returns to action alongside partner Maggie to solve a high-profile case involving the mafia. The upcoming episode follows the murder of two jurors, prompting the team to launch an immediate investigation. As the case progresses, they learn that the two jurors weren’t the original targets.

Things get personal for Scola when he suspects that a former drill instructor from his military academy could have a potential connection to the ongoing case. OA’s recent absence might be due to him being extremely furious in past missions. This has also led to Special Agent in Charge Isobel Castille asking him to not get personal on missions and control the rage. So, he might have taken some time off to relax and get back good.

Last year, in an interview with The Wrap, the interviewer asked him whether he had any plans to take some time off the show. To this, he replied “Never. I want to be in every episode.” Given his love and dedication to FBI, it doesn’t seem likely that he will be leaving the show anytime soon.
